Why oh Why another website?
Hello & Welcome to EBW Design. My name is Simon and I thought I would give you a brief introduction to this site and why it was created. After all there are millions of websites, so why another one. Well the reason I created this site was that I look back at my career in IT and I have done a lot of different things and have many notes covering various topics, from electronics, UNIX, windows to things like programming in various languages. Anyway after all these things I thought it was about time I started to put all my notes, experiences and any useful information I have picked up along the way into one site online.
Doing this will hopefully kill two birds with one stone
Firstly I will have one place I can go online to lookup information on things I have done. We all know what it’s like, we remember roughly how we did something but it’s now 10 years later, and if you’re like me you can’t remember everything, and instead of carrying information around all the time I will be able to access it anywhere.
Secondly over the course of the years Google has become a very good friend of mine and I have learnt a lot about various things from other people online who have put the time and effort in to publish their knowledge and experience and I thought it was about time I contributed for the greater good.
This site is by no means an extensive list of information, there is so much I need to type up and write tutorials on, and over time (probably a few years with the amount of time I have) I hope that this site will become a great resource of information for others.
As you can see I’m not going for a great design, I’m certainly no graphics designer, but hopefully the information is arranged logically. Over time I will be writing up information on Objective-C, Unix shell scripting, Cisco IOS and onwards. Anyway enough of my chat, hope you enjoy the site.
